On Saturday, February 24, the Team will be going to play at the Lacrosse Festival in Knoxville. The motor coach bus is scheduled to depart from Ballard at 6 AM!!!!!!!!! Players need to arrive and load by 5:40 am! Our first game is scheduled for 10 or 11, so the bus will leave PROMPTLY at 6! The Team will play on Sunday also, and we'll have a Ballard pick-up time available at a later date.
Same travel rules apply. We'll be sending home paperwork the week prior to departure. Players should bring money for 2 lunches and 2 dinners. It looks like Applebees, Cracker Barrel and Outback are near the hotel.
The Team will be staying at the Jameson Inn, about 20 minutes from the fields (John Tarleton Park). There were 2 or 3 hotel rooms left at the team rate of $79 (includes breakfast). The number is 865-531-7444. The Knoxville folks also suggested interested parents try Best Western Cedar Bluff (865-539-0058), located nearby. I'll send out directions a few days before the trip. By car, the trip takes about 4 hours.
