The pancake breakfast this morning was a wonderful success. A total of $1,467 was raised through sales and tips. Many thanks to the parents and players who showed up this morning to support the team. As I talked to people at the various tables (parents, friends, grandparents, neighbors, Ballard teachers and counselors, and others), it was clear that they were thoroughly pleased by the attentiveness and service level that our players provided. Many happy people eating pancakes. Make sure that you thank the people that came out to support your player.
Coach Wallace did a great job riding herd and making certain that everyone was busy. Special thanks to Mindy Diemer for handling the money and tickets and to Margaret Gustafson for her coffee making tour of duty. Numerous other parents were also on hand to meet and greet along with anything else. I appreciate how involved everyone is in the team. I heard from many of the parents speaking of how the 'team' collectively is just a great bunch of boys - I think we can all agree on that.
I will be sending out an email later to document the players that attended and the amount applied to their individual accounts. I have a list and will work this up with Angie Staub.
Don't forget that the Xmas Tree Unloading fundraiser is next week on the 20th. This is just for those boys that have signed up with David Cummings.
As a last bit of information - for all the people that raved about how good the pancakes were today. They are a buttermilk mix and our Applebee's cook was top notch.
